Statement Analysis: On Raising the Debt Ceiling

America is now debating raising the debt ceiling again.  Here is a statement from 2006, then Senator Barack Obama for analysis.  Analysis is in bold type, with emphasis of underlining added.  The current debt is 14 Trillion dollars.  Should America raise taxes?
    Should America cut spending?
Should America have a constitutional amendment that makes it illegal to spend more money than we have?  Can we continue to borrow 5 billion dollars a day? Will the bill ever have to be paid?

Statement analysis of the following statement highlights how repetition is always important to note.

The fact that we’re here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign — is a sign of leadership failure. Leadership means the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”~ Senator Barack Obama, 2006

Note that any word repeated is to be considered sensitive.
Note that "sign" is repeated and the word "leadership" is particularly sensitive as "leadership" is repeated three times, tying in the increase of America's debt to the topic of "leadership."
Note that "therefore" should be highlighted as sensitive, just as "since, because, so, etc" is flagged.
Note that "intend" does not mean completed.

    Conclusion of Analysis:

The relationship of increasing  debt  directly linked to failed leadership is a sensitive topic to the subject.
