Harold Camping Keeps the Money, and Gives New Date for "End"

    Show us the money?

False prophet Harold Camping will keep the money, thank you very much.

Earlier today, Statement Analysis had shown that Harold Camping, the Family Radio announcer who's followers, called "Campingites" believed the world would end this past Saturday, had not "put his money where his mouth is" and unlike some of his followers, still has his retirement savings.

He is back with a new date but this time, reporters asked him about the money.  Would he put his money where his mouth is, since he is "entirely, absolutely, absolutely certain" (triple sensitivity for readers of Statement Analysis).

Hint:  he has no plans to give away his money on October 20th.  Perhaps his followers should follow his example with the bank accounts.

Having left a huge mess in 1994 when the end of the world didn't happen, Harold Camping at first seemed humbled, but quickly regained his bearings; turning on those who sought to help me turn around and repair the damage done.

This lead, around 2002, to attack all churches, culminating in the deceptive "May 21" is the end, which hurt many.

He's back.   He now has set a new date and has given followers 5 more months to get by with him.

The question now is:  Is anyone really this gullible?

Answer:   if people believe that they are abducted and molested by aliens, they will believe anything.

Rather than ask for forgiveness and seek to refund those who donated to Family Radio, he spoke out tonight, first hesitantly, but then moving on to the real issue:

October 21, 2011 is the date for the "end" of the world...again.

We don't always hit the nail on the head the first time," Camping

It won't be a five-month terrible difficulty...that we have learned," said Camping. Instead, he says, the world will end quickly on Oct. 21

A reporter at the Family Radio station: "On Oct. 21, will you give away all your worldly possessions?"
Camping: "I still have to live in my house...I still have to pay my bills...I still have to live until the end. The end is five months away."
Reporter: "How about on the day before, the 20th?"
Camping: "What would be the value of that?...If it's Judgment Day, it's the end of the world.

His followers may have sold their worldly possessions in order to spread "the news" but he himself will remain comfortable with his money.

This would seem to make him a "false" false prophet.
