So, which portrayal do you believe? Both are headlines from the last 24 hours.
As portrayed on the Nancy Grace Show, Cindy Anthony "only tried to save her daughter. What parent wouldn't try to save their own child?" and is now being portrayed, segment by segment, as the most wonderful woman under the sun.
Gone are the descriptions of obstruction of justice, lying, destroying evidence, giving false evidence to the FBI and the manipulative attempts to live off the blood of Caylee; as least as far as the Nancy Grace Show.
Last night reached its zenith where Ms. Grace feigned, repeatedly, choking back tears in commiseration with Casey.
At one point, she tried to suck WFTV's Bill Shaeffer into her emotional manipulation, but Shaeffer would not abide. Nancy Grace has reached the point of not allowing any guest, even if it means insulting and over-shouting, to be critical of Cindy Anthony.
Cindy Anthony lied.
Cindy Anthony enabled the murderer.
Cindy Anthony did nothing for 2 years while Caylee was neglected.
Cindy Anthony lied to police, obstructed justice, and even destroyed evidence, but the worst was yet to come:
Cindy Anthony tried to throw innocent people under the bus, in a death penalty case, just to save Casey.
Now she is the "justice seeker" Nancy Grace's hero?
Night after night, Nancy Grace praises Cindy in a thin attempt to convince Cindy Anthony to come on the show is destroying her own credibility for the ratings bonanza of having Cindy Anthony on her show.
The "justice seeker" tried the patience of viewers (lost many) while "seeking justice" night after night when she had on, one by one, the harem of golfer Tiger Woods. Was this justice for Wood's soon to be ex?
But with Cindy Anthony, Nancy Grace has jumped the shark.
Expect to see the show's rating to plummet, even more so, when the Casey Anthony trial is over. Viewers are not that gullible. They are able to recognize that the head bobbing, voice increasing theatrics are a stretch, and that call screening means constant praise for her motherhood, but the choked voice and pretense of tears for Cindy is just too much for educated viewers.
By claiming "Cindy is just doing what any mother would do! She just wants to protect her daughter!" Nancy Grace is allowing for the possibility of an innocent being implicated in a capital murder case, as Cindy has attempted to portray some as the real "zanny", including Casey's friend, Amy, and Jesse Grund.
I wonder what the Grunds' think of Grace's cannonization of Cindy Anthony.
Could "she is doing what a mother has to do" be applied to other lies, deceits, and crimes? Is this the ultimate excuse for any criminal behavior?
What if Casey claims, perhaps in the death penalty phase, that she only did this to protect Caylee from future molestations by George?
Is this not then only a 'mother doing what she has to do' to save her daughter?
The thought is sickening.
Nancy Grace's extreme praise of Cindy Anthony in an attempt to get the narcissistic and materialistic Cindy Anthony on the show is a slap in the face of justice. As Dr. Glass wrote, Cindy has a 2 million dollar book deal, and hasn't worked a day since her grandchild was reported missing, including ignoring her mortgage, without ramification. She set up a bogus foundation and has sought to make money exclusively off her grandchild's name;
the same grandchild who, for 2 years, was watched by a non-exsisting nanny while her sociopathic daughter went off to a non-exsisting job, without a question by the 'loving' grandmother and head of the home.
Cindy takes notes during the trial for her book. She mouths 'I love you' to Casey and it is "bombshell" headlines for a former prosecutor? Casey sits stone faced, just as unable as Cindy is to change before a jury, as the Anthonys are who they are: the producers and cultivators of Casey Anthony.
In the praise of all things Saint Cindy Anthony:
Nancy Grace has become the professional wrestling of news stories.
